About Us

The Workshop was founded in 2021 with the strong desire to create a space entirely dedicated to engraving art, particularly xylography, with the dual purpose of being both a place for individual and collective creation and a stronghold of an art deeply rooted in Sardinia. This space represents an absolute novelty on the island, not only because it is the only one dedicated solely to xylography but also because it houses not only the classic presses for intaglio engraving but two unique pieces: a 1928 Saroglia press with mechanical grinding and a manual press from 1850, which belonged to the Oratory of St. Francis de Sales, founded by Don Giovanni Bosco and donated by the xylographer and art historian Gianfranco Schialvino…
